SMART Release
SMART is a software package to reduce and analyze data from the
Infrared Spectrograph (IRS) on the Spitzer Space Telescope.
SMART stands for "Spectroscopic Modeling Analysis and Reduction Tool".
It is publicly released to the world wide astronomical community from this WWW site.
Downloading SMART
To install SMART you must download and unpack two separate tarballs.
Full instructions about installing SMART on your system are given in the
Installation Guide.
NOTE : The Calibration files tarball is routinely updated to included the latest Calibration file releases provided by SSC.
Even if there are no changes to SMART software it is necessary to ensure that you have an up to date set of Calibration files.
Failure to do so will result in data being calibrated incorrectly, even if it appears to have been processed through SMART.
For this reason please check back to this page periodically and ensure that you always have the most recent version of the Calibration files.
- Download Calibration Files v1.4.9 (Last updated 29 October 2007)
