Merging Orders

  • Ensure that the two orders are seperate data sets within the GUI.
    Either they can be loaded/extracted seperately or multiple orders in a single dataset can be split with :
    • a. Click "Fns".
    • b. Click "Split Apart AAR", select "Order", click "Apply".
    The seperated orders can be listed by clicking "Store".
  • The simplest way to merge two seperate orders is to :
    • a. Make one the "prime" dataset.
      • Click on "Store".
      • Select the first spectra you want to combine.
      • Click on "Choose and Apply Function", "Make Prime Data Set".
    • b. Merge the other into the "prime" dataset.
      • Click on "Store".
      • Select the second spectra you want to combine.
      • Click on "Choose and Apply Function", "Merge With Prime Data Set".

The GUI will then automatically load the merged product.
Nothing will appear in the display box untill you have told it which orders to display.
Click "Order: All" to display the combined spectra.

If you want to save this combined spectra click "Store-Prime" at the top of the GUI.
This will include the combined spectra on the list of spectra displayed by the "Store" button.
You can use the "Change Name" option to give it a meaningful name. (The default name is "Merged : Spectra1/Spectra2".)
You can then save it with the "Write to disk in..." option.
